At South Hills Community Church, we believe that worship is so much more than what we experience during our weekend services. Worship is a whole life that is surrendered to God in gratitude and obedience.

Worshiping God with all that we are and all that we have is what we are designed for, and what can
bring us ultimate joy and peace. So worship at South Hills Church might be a bit different than what
you’ve experienced in the past.

Different How?
We believe that a worshipful life is one that culminates in devotion to God through His purposes –
being connected in community, growing in faith, serving others, reaching out, and putting God in his
rightful place in our lives. It is a life filled with gratitude and joy aligned with God in a loving relationship.
Worship is much more than an “activity,” but an “abundant life” lived in intimacy with Jesus.
A worshipful life pours out love to God and others. And we especially love to express our love for
God by getting together.

Why is Worshiping Together Important?
We place high value on joining together to worship because God places a high value on it. Scripture encourages Christ followers to come together to celebrate God’s love for us, and express our love to Him in return. Worship aligns us with God, and makes us stronger.
Weekend worship services at South Hills can be inspiring, expressive, quiet, upbeat, encouraging and often moving and motivating, but from our hearts, unpretentious. We love getting real with God and allowing the Holy Spirit freedom to move in and transform people’s lives.
